Airline Airzena (Georgia) launches air flights between Tbilisi and Almaty. There will be flights once per week at the first stage. It is planned to increase number of flights up to two times per week, as well as flights Almaty-Batumi.

Georgia's minister of economic development Lasha Zhvania considers direct flights to Almaty as significant event. "Air flights promote development of business, stirring up trade-economic relations and development of tourism," Zhvania told media outlets.

"It will be important not only for citizens flying from Georgia to Middle Asia but for Kazakh people whose investments rather increase in Georgia last years," Zhvania said.
