State Service for Consumer Market Control under the Azerbaijani ministry of economic development revealed next facts of consumer right violation, the ministry said on June 24.
Roughly 600 tons of overdue products (sausages, confectionary, vegetable oil, soft drinks, tinned vegetables, etc) were revealed during monitoring conducted in Sumgayit on June 23. All products were withdrawn from sale and liquidated.
Roughly 43 tons of forged cement were revealed and withdrawn from sale in shop of construction materials during monitoring in Narimanov, Karadag, as well as Geychay regions of Azerbaijan.
Protocols on administrative violations were designed towards one legal and eight physical entities violating consumer rights.
Roughly 20 legal entities were fined in the amount of 76,500 manat and 94 physical entities in the amount of 141,500 manat after Azerbaijani President's decree on changes and additions on the code of administrative violations dated May 17, 2009.
On June 24, the official exchange rate is 0.804 manat to $1.
