As part of the announcement as the capital of the Islamic Culture, Baku will host "Regional meeting of experts on the role of human and cultural heritage of Asian countries in promoting tourism", the Azerbaijani Culture & Tourism Ministry reported on Sept. 30.
The regional meeting to be held on Sept. 30-Oct. 2, is held jointly by the Culture & Tourism Ministry and the regional Tehran office of the Islamic Organization for Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO).
The meeting aims to exchange knowledge and experience of international and local specialists, serving in the field of cultural heritage and tourism.
The meeting will be attended by specialists from Azerbaijan, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Indonesia and Malaysia.
