Iran's non-oil export to reach $50 billion by 2014: Iranian president

Iran's non-oil export will reach $50 billion by 2014, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said. In 2004, Iran's non-oil export hit $7.3 billion and the current index is $23 billion, Ahmadinejad said.

The global financial crisis damaged the western countries, while contributed to development of Iran, the president said, Mehr news agency reported on Oct.21.The international sanctions imposed on Iran to stop the country's nuclear program did not affect the development and export capacity of Iran.

Ahmadinejad attributed the fact that Iran's non-oil export hit $23 billion as pride for the country.

Ahmadinejad once more named the UN Security Council's resolutions on Iran as 'piece of paper'.
