Iranian carmaker Iran Khodro Company started a cash-for-clunkers program on Monday which is aimed to replace 160,000 old cars with new ones till July 22.
Moj news agency quoted IKCO's deputy for marketing and sales as saying that the company has facilitated the substitution process.
Ali-Asghar Sarai-Nia added that IKCO will replace 40,000 dilapidated cars by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21).
