Azerbaijan issues 52 licenses on projecting buildings, devices

In 2009, expense of the State Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning hit 2,648,919, although the public budget allocated 4,158,879 manat for financing the Committee, the committee official web-site reported  

The committee allocated 150,480 manat for scientific and technical actions. A total of 115,052 manat of this was spent.

In 2009, the Committee specialists reviewed architectural plans for designing objects of different assignments and 32 projects were returned back due to incompliance to town-planning norms.

The Committee specialists held monitoring in Absheron, Gobustan, Khizi, Siyazan, Devechi, Guba, Gusar and Khachmaz regions of Azerbaijan on conformity of the urban development norms. Violations were found in Absheron (5 violations), Gobustan (5), Khizi (8), Siyazan (7), Devechi (3), Guba (8), Gusar (4), Khachmaz (14) regions.

In 2009, the committee issued license to 48 legal entities and four individuals on designing buildings and installing the first and second level of responsibility. Five licenses were cancelled due to the violations

Based on the State Committee's order, the relevant agencies began the development of the general plan of Ganja, Sumgayit and Khirdalan and the work should be completed in 2010.

In 2009, the work on the general plan development was started in Horadiz city of Fizuli region, Oguz, Gazakh, Gabala, Imishli, Sheki, Agdash, Jalilabad, Ujar, Agsu, Lerik, Beylagan and Barda. The work in these regions should be completed in the first quarter of 2010. The Committee began reconstruction work in Baku including Vagif Ave., Gutgashenli and Safarov St.    

At present, the Committee is developing a project to develop settlement patterns in Aran zone (156 districts and 2 cities)
