The Azerbaijani State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Economic Development Ministry conducted regular monitoring of the consumer market and destroyed about 520 kilograms of expired products, the statement said.
Monitoring were conducted in Sabael, Yasamal, Narimanov, Binagadi, Surakhani, Nasimi, Khatai and Khazar districts of Baku, as well as Ganja, Sheki, Gazakh, Agstafa, Gusar and Fizuli regions of the country.
Expired products - sausages and pastries, butter, milk and dairy products, canned foods, flour products, alcoholic and soft drinks.
Measures will be applied towards violators of consumer rights in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offences.
