Iranian firms take part in Malaysia’s MIHAS expo

22 Iranian companies have taken part in the 7th Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2010.

The exhibition kicked off on Wednesday and will run until June 27, IRNA news agency reported on Thursday.

After China with 38 firms, Iran has the highest number of exhibitors.

MIHAS 2010 is the largest halal (permissible based on Islamic Sharia) trade exhibition in the world and the biggest food & beverage event. The event has brought together top halal players of the world from countries such as Iran, China, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, France, England, Italy, and Albania.

The exhibition incorporates the notion of halal in all aspects right from cosmetics & health care, herbal products & pharmaceuticals to Islamic investment and banking.

The exhibition displays a spectrum of halal products & services from over 32 countries with more than 661 exhibition booths being made available.
