Some 4567.4 million manat was invested in the economy of Azerbaijan in January-July 2010, an increase of 11.2 percent from the figures of the previous year, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee reported.
Investments for repair and construction works made up 66.8 percent totaling 3048.5 million manat. Investment for the construction of production facilities totaled 2313.8 million manat, while non-production facilities totaled 2253.6 million manat.
Foreign investments with special weight of 21.4 percent amounted to 976 million manat, increasing by 37.4 percent as compared to the same period of the last year. The special weight of internal investments made up 78.6 percent.
The majority (71.6 percent) of domestic investment invested in state enterprises and organizations, and only 28.4 percent - in private enterprises.
Of the total amount 69.2 percent were directed (3159.3 million manat) to the development of non-oil sector, 13.6 percent (622.9 million manat) - non-oil industrial sector, 30.8 percent (1408.1 million manat) - oil sector.
Some 44.5 percent of investments fell to industrial areas, 4.8 percent - agriculture, forestry and fisheries, 3.3 percent - trade, 24.7 percent - transport and warehousing, 1.1 percent - information and communications, 1.6 percent - health care, 1 percent - education, 6.2 percent - real estate transactions (of which 8 percent - housing), 2.9 percent - sports & recreation and arts, 2.1 percent - governance, 0.1 percent - financial and insurance activities, 2.7 percent - organization of accommodation and catering, 0.8 percent - administrative and support services and 0.4 percent - other spheres.
About 1450.8 million of 3.549 mln manat provided for 2010 were directed to the construction of facilities, funding of which is realized at the expense of budget funds.
Major sources of investing were funds of enterprises and organizations (2372.5 mln manat with special weight of 51.9 %), bank credits (247.7 mln manat, 5.4 %), budget funds (1543.2 million manat, 33.8 percent), non-budgetary funds (241 mln manat, 5.3 %), community funds (150.6 mln, 3.3 %) and other funds (12.4 mln, 0.3 %).
