Georgian border guards detained a ship flying the Filipino flag in Batumi for polluting the water, the Georgian Border Police told Trend.
The cargo ship "Mohave Maiden" was detained at the ninth berth of the Batumi Port.
Proceedings have been launched against the ship's captain, Filipino citizen Leonardo Artienza, in accordance with Georgia's administrative code.
The case is being investigated by the Georgian Border Police's Batumi Investigation and Operative Department.
