Azerbaijan announces number of national standards

The total number of national standards is 29 in Azerbaijan, State Standardization, Metrology and Patents Committee Chairman Ramiz Hasanov said at a press conference at the headquarters of the New Azerbaijan Party.
Hasanov said 15 of the total number of national standards fells to the state standards of the first degree, and the remaining 14 - the state standards of the second degree. The well-known companies such as Fluke, Metter Toledo, Vika, Sartorius, and others have developed these standards.
In 2010, the Metrology National Center has been established under the Azerbaijani State Standardization, Metrology and Patents Committee. Yet, its base is composed of five laboratories. These laboratories store and apply national standards of the first and second degrees.
