Some 22 million manat required to finance state social protection programs in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers has approved the state programs to finance social protection measures for children with disabilities and people with disabilities, as well as the funding of actions on social protection of the unemployed and job seekers for 2011.
Upon the cabinet's decision, both state programs will come into force from January 2011.
Based on the state forecasts, 520 000 people will take part in the country's labor market in 2011. Of them 64,500 people will turn to employment agencies and 32,000 persons seeking employment services will be provided with appropriate jobs, 4,700 people registered as unemployed and receive unemployment benefits, 4,000 people will focus on courses on vocational training and skills upgrading, 4,000 people will be involved in paid public work, 48 thousand people are registered as job seekers.

Some 15.827 million manat is expected to be allocated to finance social protection of disabled children and the disabled, including 14.113 million manat - for social rehabilitation and protection of health, 1.315 million manat - organization of activities on sport and physical education, information provision and 399.144 - organization of technical and material assistance to persons with disabilities and children with disabilities.

To finance the social protection of the unemployed and job seekers, the state will allocate 6.018 million manat, including the issuance of unemployment benefits - 4,35 million manat, the organization of training courses and re-training - 1.064 million manat, the organization of paid public works - 214,240 manat, holding job fairs, organization of labor exchanges, introduction of new technologies - 390,000 manat.
