The Azerbaijani National Confederation of Entrepreneurs and the Association of Tourism signed a cooperation agreement, the confederation said.
The main purpose of the agreement is to provide effective assistance to promote entrepreneurship and improve the business environment in the tourism industry, to resolve the problems, to expand potential of tourism organizations and hotels, to protect the interests of tourists.
The assistance will be made to collect legal, economic and financial information, to prepare programs and projects to develop tourism in the country, to conduct joint trainings within the agreement.
The participation of Azerbaijani entrepreneurs in business forums, conferences and workshops abroad will be also promoted.
The Association of Tourism was established with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in January 2009. Last year it united with the Association of hotels.
The association protects the interests of travel agencies, develops bills, recommendations and regulations, and assists in establishing national travel companies. It also develops plans to conduct training and seminars for market participants, creates conditions for advertising Azerbaijani tourism at annual international exhibitions, develops domestic tourism, and presents tourism products on the world market.
The association also tries to develop and introduce congressional tourism and train specialists in management.
