In January-March., metallurgical industry of Azerbaijan produced products and rendered services worth 60.2 million manat, the State Statistics Committee said.
Amount of production in metallurgical industry in Azerbaijan increased by 2.1 times, finished metal products during this period decreased by 39 percent.
Roughly 64,100 tons of steel casting were produced in this sphere within three months or 2.6 times more compared to the same period of 2010.
Amount of production of reinforcement reached 50,100 tons, which is 2 times more than in January-March 2010.
Amount of production of iron casting reached about 64.7 tons, which is 77.9 percent less than the same period of 2010.
Amount of production of wires and cables made of ferrous metals reached 76 tons, which is 8.8 percent less than in January-March 2010.
Some 19,700 tons steel pipes were produced, which is 76.9 percent more than the same period of 2010.
Amount of export of semi-finished products made from ferrous metal, as of January-March 2011 exceeded 7,600 tons (in the amount of over $4.5 million ), which is 49.3 percent (in monetary terms in 23.3 times) less compared to the same period of 2010.
During reporting period the amount of exported pipes made from ferrous metal was more than 11,700 tons (in the amount of over $10.8 million), which is 38.9 percent (in monetary terms in 71.6 percent) more compared to the same period of 2010.
