Turkmenistan's Industrial Construction Materials Ministry will sign a contract with Austria's TANDAKO Waren Handels Gesellschaft mbH to build a glass and glass wares production factory in Ovandoz near Ashgabat.

The contract envisages building outward leading engineer communications and land improvement in the adjacent area. The document indicates the commencement date for the construction as July 2011 and the commissioning date as December 2013.

The deal has been concluded to supply buildings and objects with premium quality glass and glass wares.

A new glass enterprise with the production capacity of around 200,000 glass bottles a day was recently put into exploitation in Tashkent, fully meeting domestic demand.

The local Gulalek company carried out the construction of an automated complex worth roughly $8 million.

The financing included private funds and privileged loans, allocated under a state program to support private business.

The enterprise plans to export its output in the future. The production is automated using equipment from China.
