Russia's Deputy Interior Minister Igor Aleshin has been elected chairman of the Coordinating Council of Heads of Tax (financial) Investigation Bodies of the CIS member states (CCTIB) at its 13th meeting passing in Baku.
The two-day meeting of the CCTIB will discuss the structure's role in the protection of economic security in the CIS, questions of improvement of tax (investigation) of the CIS countries, including the fight against crime, a joint special operations and operational and investigative activity.
The meeting will also consider the draft decisions on the approval of the provision and coordination meeting of the CIS countries' institutions cooperating in the fight against crime.
The CCTIB was established in June 1999. The last council meeting was held in Kazakhstan in 2010.
