A survey of interest for the construction of "Kintrishi Hydropower plant" in Western Georgia, which is included in the list of potential alternative sources, was completed on Nov.4. The list is available on the website of the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry.
Georgian company "Hydro Development Company" displayed interest in the construction of HPP, the ministry told Trend on Monday.
The HPP capacity will be 5 megawatts, while average annual production - 30 million kilowatt-hours. Construction is scheduled to start in March 2012.
Commissioning of the facility is scheduled for September 2014.
