Kazakhstan will export for the first time its trucks to Belarus, Kazakh National Agency for Export and Investment Kaznex Invest reported.

The contract on supply of HD78 trucks with the total amount of $100,000 was signed by Kazakh distributor Hyundai Аuto Тruck & Вus and Belarusian distributor of commercial vehicles Hyundai Truck in Minsk on November 11.

"Kazakhstan has a chance to become the exclusive supplier of Hyundai vehicles to Belarus," Hyundai Аuto Тruck & Вus's director Shalkar Nurtleuov said. "It is more profitable for the Customs Union's members to buy these vehicles not from South Korea, but from Kazakhstan due to available delivery terms and costs."

The parties also discussed the export of trucks in 2012.

Agency Kaznex Invest, affiliated to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Kazakhstan, plans to continue assistance to Kazakh manufacturers to find buyers in new markets.

During the meeting Kazakhstan and Belarus also signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation on export operations between the countries.

KAZNEX INVEST is one of Kazakhstan's national development institutions designed to promote diversification of the national economy by creating more favorable conditions to develop and advance Kazakhstan's non-commodity exports and foreign direct investment in priority sectors of the economy.
