Turkmenistan to sign contract in agrarian sector with Russian company

National Association of Grain Turkmengallaonumleri plans to sign the contract for the purchase of 1000 tons of wheat seed with Seeds of Stavropol (Russia).

The corresponding decree was signed by President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov. The deal will be aimed at improving the seed crops of wheat and exchange of sorts.

This year, the harvest plan is 1.6 million tons. Grain wedge in the country is 860,000 hectares.

Roughly 2,000 Case, John Deer and Claas combines are involved in harvesting.

In 2011, more than 1.3 million tons of wheat were collected.

The Turkmengallaonumleri Association of Grain Products allowed the selling of 300,000 tons of wheat from last year's harvest volume, which exceeds domestic needs, in foreign markets.
