Some 1.451.303 million tourists visited Adjara in January-October, increase by 27.4 percent compared to the previous year and 62.7 percent more than in 2010, the Tourism Department of Adjara said on Wednesday.
According to the Department, some 1.138.774 million tourists visited the autonomy in January-October 2011 and 892,149 in January-October 2010.
The foreigners accounts for 717,196 foreign people among the visitors to Adjara in January-October 2012, which is 77.2 percent more than in 2011. The number of foreign visitors was 288,856 in January-October 2010.
