The Fourth International Seminar on Investment and Business Opportunities in East Azerbaijan is an opportunity for further interactions and expansion of foreign relations in line with the country's development plans and economic policies, IRNA reported.
Deputy Head of the Center for Investment Services of East Azarbaijan said that holding international seminars on investment opportunities in East Azarbaijan not only helps to economic development, but it is important due to the country's political conditions and propagations against Iran.
Reza Hosseini pointed to signing of 393 memoranda of understanding valued at $26.215 billion in the previous (third) seminar, saying, "Welcoming investment opportunities in East Azarbaijan as a gate to gain access to Europe under the conditions that the neighboring countries are facing difficult times which is not hidden from the attention of the statesmen while special heed of the authorities, the president in particular, has played a considerable role in facilitating this trend.
Attraction of domestic and foreign investment needs facilitating conditions of investment, security and confidence of investors something which has not been ignored by the officials of East Azarbaijan.
Hosseini noted that the main purpose for holding the fourth seminar in East Azarbaijan is to introduce the investment opportunities of the province in different areas, adding that introducing the province's political, economic, social and cultural status will also be considered.
He pointed to exchange of technical and commercial information among investors, businessmen and traders of the participating countries in the seminar as other goals being pursued by organizing the seminar.
The Fourth International Seminar of Investment and Trade Opportunities of East Azarbaijan will be held in Tabriz and Jolfa (Aras Free Economic Zone) from July 6 to 7.
