Kazakhstan to create new airline

Kazakhstan plans to create another national airline that will carry out domestic flights, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at a meeting with the head of Canadian Bombardier company, Pierre Baudouin, according to the Kazakh presidency.
"We are interested in the coming of a well-known company such as Bombardier to the Kazakh market. Regarding this we are planning to create another national airline 'Air Kazakhstan' that will carry out domestic flight," the president said.
Nazarbayev recalled that Air Astana airline has already been created in Kazakhstan jointly with BAE Systems.
"Such experience can also be used in creating a new company. Alongside with the cooperation in the aviation sphere, we are interested in projects in other sectors of the transport industry. Moreover, the cooperation in the sphere of training of national pilots, specialists for maintenance centers in the country is of special importance," the head of state said.
Nazarbayev stressed the necessity of opening of the company's representative office in the republic.
In turn, the head of Bombardier emphasized the importance of development of further cooperation in various spheres of the transport industry.
"We are ready to work together to improve the quality of transport services and the transport sector of Kazakhstan as a whole. I want to assure that the supply of aircraft equipment is only a small part of our joint work. We also plan to introduce our technologies and apply all our experience. In addition, we will teach Kazakh pilots, build service centers for aircraft maintenance and thus work with Kazakhstan in the long term," Baudouin said.
