Azerbaijan imported 22,511 motor vehicles in January-March, 2014 versus 21,379 in the same period of 2013, according to a report of Azerbaijani State Customs Committee (SCC).
SCC said some 20,305 imported motor vehicles were cars and motor vehicles designed for passenger transportation. In the first quarter of 2013 this figure was 19,446.
In total, in 2013 Azerbaijan imported 104,385 motor vehicles versus 101,255 in 2012.
Some 94,879 imported motor vehicles were the cars and motor vehicles designed for passenger transportation, as compared to 89,652 motor vehicles in 2012.
Aside from that, 1,952 trucks were imported in January-March to Azerbaijan versus 1,475 trucks imported in the same period of 2013.
The remaining part of motor vehicles imported in the first quarter accounted for other types vehicles.
Some 7,823 trucks were imported to Azerbaijan in 2013, versus 9,433 in 2012.
