The Geology and Subsoil Use Committee of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Industry and New Technologies will post the pilot version of the 'Interactive maps of location of existing facilities for solid minerals of Kazakhstan' project on its website.
"The purpose of creating such a map is to give online information about the used and free contract territories, as well as to attract more investments in the country's geological industry," the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies said on June 23.
The 'Interactive map' provides information about each area: the contract number, the type of activity, the type of the mineral, the data about the subsoil user and his details.
Moreover, the map has such sections as 'State geological study of subsoil', 'Polygons of missiles' drop zone', 'Specially protected natural areas', which are very important for submitting applications for free areas.
The map is available at http://imap.geology.gov.kz
The map was created under the memorandum of cooperation between National Center for Geological Information 'Kazgeoinform' of the Geology and Subsoil Use Committee and Kazzink LLP dated Nov.27, 2013.
