More than 62% of all customers who decided to change Mobile Operators using Mobile Number Portability have joined Bakcell. Bakcell, The First Mobile Operator and The Leading Mobile Internet Provider of Azerbaijan, is pleased to announce to that everyone is coming to Bakcell and it is the leader in Mobile Number Portability (MNP).
According to the Data Processing Center (DPC) of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT), today the number of persons, who have used the MNP service, exceeds 12,000. Bakcell would like to state that 7,500 of these subscribers have ported their numbers to Bakcell.

We expected to be the net winner in terms of "porting in" (migrating to Bakcell) of customers who used to be "trapped" with their old network. Taking into consideration the fact that MNP is being offered on the local market for less than a year, we can already say that this is a very good result for us and for the market. Requests of subscribers of other operators who want to port their numbers to Bakcell network are being successfully executed as of February 1, 2014. Subscribers of other mobile operators may apply to Bakcell's Service Centers and BakcellİMs in order to port their numbers.
Bakcell is also pleased to report that it has shown the biggest increase in active Mobile Telephony customers during 2014 among the three operators. Data obtained from interconnect systems shows that Bakcell's active mobile telephony customer base increased by 6.6% vs 0.4% and 4% for the other two operators respectively.
