Kathie Julian, the acting head of the Baku office of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), has taken over her new position.
Julian recently arrived in Azerbaijan for two weeks, the office told Trend.
"No meetings are expected to be held as part of Julian's visit," the bank said. "This is a standard procedure. Julian will stay in Baku till the candidature of a new director of the office is approved."
Selection of the candidate for the head of the ADB Baku office has not been determined yet, the statement said.
Julian is an advisor to Sean O'Sullivan, the Director General of ADB's Central and West Asia Department.
Olly Norojono was head of the ADB Baku from 2010 until his term of office expired in September 2015.
