The first conference of entrepreneurs and investors from the League of Arab States, Central Asia and Azerbaijan will be held in Beirut, Lebanon in mid-December 2015, said the website of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).

The Arab League was established in 1945 in Cairo. The organization is aimed at ensuring economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between its member states, coordinating their political activities, as well as ensuring their independence and sovereignty.

The member states are Algeria, Bahrain, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Yemen, Qatar, Comoros, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan and Tunisia.

The trade turnover of Azerbaijan with the Arab League and Central Asian countries neared $490 million and $146.97 million, respectively, from Jan.-Sept. 2015, according to Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee.
