Malaysian company ending project at Turkmen refinery

A new installation to produce biaxially oriented polypropylene films (BOPP) will be put into operation in October 2016 at the oil refinery in Turkmenistan’s Turkmenbashi city, said the country’s oil and gas complex in a message.

 Malaysia’s PT Istana Karang Laut (IKL) company will be the general contractor of the construction.
 
Currently, assembly operations are completed at the shop, which has an area of 6,000 square meters. Commissioning of the installation is scheduled for September.
 
The new installation is designed to produce 21,000 tons of products per year.
 
A significant part of the plant’s products is exported to Russia, Japan, Italy, Turkey, China, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Georgia and other countries.
