By Elena Kosolapova – Trend:

Kazakhstan has refused to build new grain terminals that were previously planned to be created overseas.

“There is currently no plan to construct grain terminals, as well as outside of Kazakhstan,” the country’s Ministry of Agriculture told Trend.

Earlier, Kazakhstan was considering building grain terminals at the Iranian-Turkmen border, at its border with China, in Georgia and other countries for transshipment of its grain for export.

Kazakhstan is one of the largest grain producers in the world. In 2015, the country collected 18.7 million tons of grain and leguminous crops in weight after processing, which is 8.8 percent more than in 2014.
