Kazakhstan’s insurance and reinsurance companies increased their assets by 3.7 percent to 856.5 billion tenges (324 tenges = $1) in 2016, Kazakh National Bank said in a message.
As much as 32 insurance and reinsurance companies were operating in Kazakhstan as of Jan. 1, 2017.
The amount of total liabilities of insurance and reinsurance companies increased by 8.3 percent to 454.2 billion tenge in 2016.
The amount of insurance reserves amounted to 412.3 billion tenge as of Jan. 1 2017, which is 9.4 percent more than a year ago.
