Azerbaijani steel pipes manufacturer, METAK, plans to issue bonds, the company’s Managing Director Aydin Karimov has told Trend.
“We have already prepared all necessary documents, and I think we will put up the first batch of securities for sale in September. The bonds will be most likely issued in several tranches, but we will share the details in autumn,” he said.
As for METAK’s initial public offering (IPO), Karimov said this issue is not yet a priority for the company.
“We are receiving a large number of requests regarding the IPO, but we are not yet interested in this and we are somewhat slowing down the process. Now, we are focusing on bond issuance. IPO will be considered later.”
METAK has been operating since 1997.
