The State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan intends to temporarily limit cash-out transactions to $250 per day (including a cash withdrawal worth $50 and non-cash payments worth $200).
The measure aims to prevent the misuse of foreign currency through international credit cards.
The citizens willing to pay for the services rendered in hotels, medical institutions, educational institutions, as well as to purchase air and railway tickets, can take advantage of the international money transfers through accounts in the country’s banks.
