Some 43,504 tons of phosphate concentrate were produced by Iran’s Esfordi Phosphate Industrial and Mineral Complex in the first six months of the current Iranian fiscal year (started March 21), a report said.

The output of Iran’s major phosphate producer, Esfordi Phosphate Industrial and Mineral Complex, reached 43,504 tons over six months, registering a 41-percent increase compared with last year’s corresponding period, according to the report published by IRIB news agency on October 8.

Last year, 30,810 tons of phosphate concentrate were produced during the period.

The company’s phosphate extraction during the period was 171,793 tons, the report added.

Esfordi phosphate plant is a subsidiary of Iran Minerals Production and Supply Company and located in Bafq County in Yazd Province.
