Uzbek individual entrepreneurs won't sell construction materials

From Jan. 1, 2019, a new list of activities that individual entrepreneurs can take up without forming a legal entity comes into force, Uzbek media reported referring to the Norma.uz legislative web-portal.

Since the beginning of 2018, a ban has been imposed on the sale by individual entrepreneurs of building materials, cement, slate, timber and wood.

In addition, since Jan. 1, 2019, individual entrepreneurs won't be allowed to manufacture doors, windows and other products from aluminum (or plastic) profile; carry out car wash, salon cleaning and other similar services; manufacture and sell cheese products; carry out stained glass works (made of glass, smalt and other materials).

Centers of public services will help individual entrepreneurs engaged in excluded activities, to create a legal entity.

The list is also expanded with some other spheres of activity. Individual entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to be engaged in the manufacture and sale of soft drinks, ayran (cold savory yogurt-based beverage that is mixed with salt), bottled guja (Uzbek soup); activities of family non-state preschool educational institutions established on the basis of public-private partnership in the form of their material, technical and methodological support.
