American meat processing company Tyson Fresh Meats Inc intends to enter the Kazakh market, head of the company Harold Dean Sandorsky said, according to Kazakh media.

"We want to give work to those people who really need it. We adhere to the good work environment policy, and we intend to continue this policy when we enter the local market," Sandorsky noted at a meeting with the governor of Kazakhstan’s Kostanay region Archimed Mukhambetov.

Sandorsky added that Tyson Fresh Meats processes beef, chicken and pork.

"Our beef processing plants process 28,000 heads per day, pork processing plants – 16,000 heads per day, and the chicken processing ones – 25 million heads per week," he said.

Mukhambetov, in turn, noted the importance of possible cooperation.

"The head of state set the task to attract investments, first of all, in agriculture. If you produce products, open enterprises and develop projects in Kostanay region, all processed products can be sold not only in Kazakhstan, but also in the CIS countries, including Russia," the governor said.

Mukhambetov thanked the US delegation for their interest in the region and expressed hope for further fruitful and mutually beneficial cooperation.
