The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan is implementing a project aimed at developing management and marketing in the regions of the country, the Head of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Sakina Babayeva told Trend.
The head of the association said the implementation of the project has began relatively recently, and it will be continued in the next year as well.
“Within the project, the women engaged in business activities in the regions of the country will receive special marketing and management courses to be conducted by our organization’s consultants. This methodology is intended primarily for women who will be involved in the culinary and handicraft sector. Our goal is to teach women how to qualitatively and at the same time tastefully decorate their products in order to sell them not only in the domestic market, but also outside the country, we believe that quality and good service will surely contribute to growth of demand, both in Azerbaijan and abroad," Babayeva said.
The head of the association said the women's entrepreneurship is a specific development model in a particular area, and is aimed at ensuring women's rights and gender equality.
"The creation of a regulatory framework, the provision of concessional loans to people engaged in entrepreneurial activities, the introduction of preferential tax rates in many areas, and in particular the exemption from all taxes of entrepreneurs in agriculture, has opened up real opportunities for the development of business in the country in general, and the development of the women's entrepreneurship in particular. Therefore, our association aims to boost women's businesses, to support the export of mainly national agricultural products, in order to rapidly promote the Made in Azerbaijan brand outside of our country," Babayeva noted.
The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan was established with the support of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan and was incorporated in October 2017.
