O’zto’qimachiliksanoat holds seminar on cotton-textile production modernization

On Nov. 21, 2018, the O’zto’qimachiliksanoat Association organized a seminar on modernization of Uzbekistan's cotton-textile production in 2019, Uzbek media reported.

The seminar was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Fund for Agricultural Support under the Ministry of Finance, the Center for Seed Development under the Ministry of Innovation Development, O’zagrokimyohimoya and O’zagrotexsanoatxolding and a number of representatives of enterprises of cotton-textile factories and higher educational institutions.

Introduction of innovations in agriculture primarily involves the introduction of modern forms of agricultural production based on the concept of “smart agriculture”, which allows for rational use of soil, irrigation and other natural resources, introducing automation systems for agricultural industry, including innovative ideas, developments and technological improvements to help ensure the country's food security, as well as to facilitate the implementation of priority directions of the industry development strategy.

The seminar participants were provided with detailed information on problems in agriculture, on measures to overcome them, and on joint scientific and educational work.
