The prices of seasonal vegetables in stores and markets of Kazakhstan rose sharply in November, says a report by EnergyProm.kz.
Thus, price of cucumbers increased by 43 percent compared to October, and that of tomatoes – by 38 percent. Cabbage prices also rose, by 2.5 percent.
Price of carrot, on the contrary, fell by 3.2 percent compared to October, and that of beet – by 2.4 percent.
As for fruits, oranges slightly increased in price – 0.6 percent, while lemons, on the contrary, fell in price by 5.3 percent.
Of the groceries, sunflower oil price rose by 1.2 percent, sugar and margarine — by 1.1 percent.
As for pasta, the prices of vermicelli and noodles increased by 0.9-1.1 percent compared to October.
Prices of dairy products also rose: raw milk – by 2.4 percent, butter – by 1.5 percent.
Also, prices of poultry products continue to increase: chicken legs – by 3 percent, chicken – by 1.5 percent, and eggs – by 3.2 percent.
