Kazakhstan can export one billion eggs abroad in 2019

Maxim Bozhko, head of the Association of Egg Producers of Kazakhstan, deems it possible for the country to export one billion eggs abroad during this year, Trend reports referring to Kazinform.
Speaking at the extended meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture Board, Vice-Minister Arman Yevniyev said that more than 5.6 billion chicken eggs were produced within the sectoral program for the development of poultry farming, almost 10 percent more than in 2017.
For the first time, 602 million units have been exported, almost twice as more compared with 2017 (for reference, the figures stood at 152 million units in 2016, 113 million units in 2015, and 55 million in 2014).
Some 190,000 tons of poultry meat was produced, which exceeds the level for 2017 by 6.3 percent.
In addition, the Minister of Agriculture Umirzak Shukeyev stressed that it is necessary to open the Chinese market for the export of Kazakhstan’s eggs.
