Iranian exports to Iraq via Mehran customs at over $1B

Iranian exports to Iraq via the Mehran customs point in the Ilam Province made up $1.06 billion from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2018) to the end of its 10th month, Saeed Sharifi, deputy director of Industry, Mines and Trade Organization of Ilam Province, told IRNA.

According to Sharifi, the value of exported goods rose by $994 million, compared to the same period last year.

Sharifi added that construction materials, metal, agricultural and rubber products, as well as automobiles, their spare parts and petrochemical products were among the main exports during the said period.

Sharifi said that the value of goods imported via the Mehran customs made up $2.51 million during the mentioned period.

The Mehran customs point of Iran’s Ilam Province lies on the border with Iraq.
