Turkey's trade turnover reached $30.4 billion in February 2019, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend on March 29.
Turkey’s export of goods increased by 3.71 percent and amounted to $14.3 billion in February 2019 compared to February 2018.
"Turkey’s import of goods increased by 16.1 percent and amounted to $16.1 billion in February 2019 compared to February 2018," the ministry said.
During the reporting period, Turkey imported mineral fuel worth $3.8 billion, equipment and machinery worth $1.5 billion, electrical goods worth $1.1 billion, steel and cast iron worth $1.1 billion.
"The remaining share of import - $8.6 billion accounts for other types of products," the ministry said.
During the reporting period, Turkey exported vehicles worth $2 billion, equipment and machinery worth $1.3 billion, steel and cast iron worth $955 million, electrical goods worth $672 million and textile goods worth $732 million.
"The remaining $8.7 billion accounts for export of other types of goods," the ministry said.
In February 2019, the export of Turkish goods to Germany decreased by 8.8 percent and amounted to $1.335 billion compared to February 2018.
"The import of goods by Turkey from Russia decreased by 12.18 percent and amounted to $1.630 billion in February 2019 compared to February 2018," the ministry said.
