Iran's exports via Bushehr province exceeds $18B

In the last Iranian year (March 21, 2018-March 20, 2019), Iran exported 29.7 million tons of goods, including gas condensates, worth $18.7 billion via its borders in Bushehr province, an official with Bushehr Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Hosseini Mohammadi said, Trend reports referring to the organization's website.

The total value of Iran's exports via Beshehr's customs increased by 24 percent in the last year compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2017-March 20, 2018), Mohammadi said.

He added that excluding the gas condensates, last year, 19.9 million tons of goods worth $11.2 billion were exported, which shows 42 percent increase in the exports.

Main goods exported through Bushehr include gas condensates, fertilizers, cement, clinker, sulfur, mining equipment, shrimps, tomatoes and iron bars, he said.

He further added that the main export destinations were China, South Korea, the UAE, India, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan and Pakistan.

In the last Iranian year, roughly 554,000 tons of goods in the amount of $1.67 billion were imported by Iran through Bushehr, which is ,compared to the preceding year, 53 percent less in terms of weight, and 31 percent less in terms of value, Mohammadi said.

Main imported goods were power plant equipment, bananas, butter, industrial air filters, spare parts for cars and motorcycles, black tea, car tires and various factory equipment, he added.

Goods were mainly imported from China, Russia, the Philippines, the UAE, New Zealand, India, Italy, South Korea, Ecuador and Belgium, Mohammadi said.
