Azerbaijan sold $24 million worth of tomatoes in April 2019, which is 29.7 percent more than the last year’s figure, Trend reports referring to the Export Review for May published by Azerbaijan’s Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
At $20.5 million worth sold, showing an increase of almost 3 times, raw cotton ranked 2nd in volume on the list of goods exported by Azerbaijan, with peeled hazelnuts ranking third ($15 million worth sold, showing an increase of 2.2 times).
During the first 4 months of 2019, Azerbaijan exported goods and resources such as vegetables and fruits ($149 million), plastic and plastic products ($62 million), raw cotton ($58 million), electricity ($45 million), aluminum and aluminum products ($32 million), chemical products ($24 million), ferrous metals and products made from them ($18 million), cotton yarn ($9 million), and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages ($9 million).
