Russia most popular country among Turkish citizens looking for job

In January-May 2019, most of the Turkish citizens looking for job opportunities abroad visited Russia,Trend reports referring to Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR).
According to ISKUR, during the reported period, 1,042 Turkish citizens visited Russia via the agency, which is 10.6 percent less compared to the same period in 2018.
In January-May 2019, 8,613 Turkish citizens went abroad through the agency, which is 11.9 percent less compared to the same period last year.
According to ISKUR, in May 2019, 157,757 Turkish citizens were provided with jobs in Turkey, which is 50.5 percent more compared to the same month last year.
Of those employed in May 2019 in Turkey, men and women accounted for 66.4 and 33.6 percent, respectively. Among them, 99.5 percent accounted for the private sector.
In May 2019, the number of unemployed in Turkey amounted to 3.084 million people, of which 50.1 percent were women, 49.9 percent - men.
