Azerbaijan’s Sumgayit Technology Park (STP) plans to expand the geography of exports of polymer pipes and aluminum profiles, public relations manager of STP Rashad Aliyev told Trend.
According to him, the aluminum plant, which was commissioned at STP in 2014, has currently established export deliveries of aluminum profiles to neighboring and some European countries.
"The plant started exporting to the markets of Denmark and Poland, and it is also working on new export directions. Since the beginning of the current year, 60 tons of aluminum profiles were exported to Denmark and 25 tons of products to Poland," he said.
"Until the end of this year, the next deliveries to these two European states are expected in volumes of 60-65 tons of aluminum products," he added.
In his words, at the same time, it is planned to export the product to the Czech Republic and Germany, as new areas of cooperation. "Negotiations with new foreign partners are currently underway," he said.
Aliyev also noted that the aluminum plant produces warm and cold profiles, window systems, aluminum electrical tires, and other types of aluminum products.
Other activities carried out at the STP include smelting and harvesting aluminum, as well as smelting copper. The productivity of aluminum furnaces is 30,000 tons per year. Local raw materials produced in Ganja are mainly used in the production process.
