Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan to increase cargo transport

Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan agreed on increase of the volume of cargo transport, Trend reports with reference to State Revenue Committee of Kazakhstan.

The topic was discussed during bilateral meeting between Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan Marat Sultangaziyev and the Chairman of State Customs Service under the Government of Kyrgyzstan Almaz Onolbekov, which was held on July 31, 2019.

Following the meeting, agreements on holding pilot project on using new navigation device in goods' transit, daily monitoring and exchange of information on volume of transport to countries from China, as well as import and export of risky commodity to countries of Eurasian Economic Union and their pricing were made.

At the same time, the agreement to hold joint customs control in entry points and in areas of customs clearance of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan was reached.

Thus, as a result of the joint work of the customs services, the countries will increase effectiveness of customs administration, decrease time of goods transit and increase volume of goods transport.
