Projects worth over $900M to be implemented in Kazakhstan

Some 14 projects worth 350 billion tenge ($904,240 million) are to be launched in Kazakhstan’s Kostanay region, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the prime minister of Kazakhstan.

This became known during the visit of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin to Kostanay region, where he got acquainted with the progress of industrial and infrastructure development of the region.

Recently, production of Belarus and Kirovets energy-efficient tractors has been launched on the territory of the new Industrial Zone in Kostanay city. In total, it is planned to launch 14 projects on the zone's territory.

During his visit, Mamin also examined the production facilities of SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP, where the assembly, welding and coloring of light cars, carrier trucks and buses are carried out. The annual production capacity of the enterprise is 27,000 units, and 50 car models and eight brands are assembled at the enterprise.

The prime minister further held a working meeting on the issues of automotive industry and agricultural machine building of Kazakhstan.

The head of the Government noted that in the Machine Building Industry Development Roadmap for 2019-2024, which was adopted in July 2019, a set of systematic measures has been provided, which includes tax cuts, financial and raw material support and supply of qualified personnel. The industry faces a task to achieve the production of 100,000 cars annually by 2020.
