Georgia imported electricity worth $31.58 million from Azerbaijan in the first seven months of 2019, Trend reports citing Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).
The volume of electricity imported from Azerbaijan to Georgia is by $4.65 million or 17.2 percent more compared to the same period last year.
In the first seven months of 2018, the value of electricity exported from Azerbaijan to Georgia amounted to $29.93 million.
According to the committee, in January-June 2019, electricity worth $26.71 million was exported from Azerbaijan to Georgia.
The trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan in January-July 2019 amounted to $600.59 million. The share of Azerbaijan in the total trade turnover of Georgia for the reporting period amounted to 8.5 percent. Azerbaijan is Georgia’s third largest trading partner after Turkey and Russia.
