Construction of a major warehouse for storage of food products in Baku is nearing the stage of completion, Kamaladdin Masimov, director of Nabucco Memarlig ve Inshaat construction company in Azerbaijan, told Trend.

He said that the company, which in this project is engaged in the installation of metal structures of the facility under construction, has completed over 70 percent of the work.

“Presently, the work related to the installation of metal structures has been completed, and wall and roof cladding, as well as insulation work has begun,” he noted. “We expect to complete the work ahead of schedule, if there are favorable weather conditions. Strong wind and rain interfere with this kind of work.”

The director added that the company previously predicted to complete the work on this project in early 2020.

“Several Azerbaijani companies are participating in the construction of the new facility,” he said. “The installation of one square meter of metal construction costs up to 400 manats; we are only engaged in its installation, and all construction materials are provided by the customer. Presumably, the facility will be commissioned in the first months of next year.”

The director noted that the company is engaged in the construction of private villas and other real estate facilities.

“We work with individual customers on a contract basis, and this is the main source of income for our company,” he said. “The technical capabilities of the company and human resources allow constructing major objects of state importance. Unfortunately, so far we haven’t received proposals related to the implementation of state projects.”
