Uzbekistan, Russia intend to jointly develop oil, fat industry

Uzbekistan is interested in joint development of the domestic oil and fat industry with Russia, as was announced during a teleconference between the Uzbekistan’s Uzegmoysanoat Oil and Fat Association, Russian Oil and Fat Union and Russian Association of Manufacturers and Consumers of Oil and Fat Products, Trend reports citing the press service of Uzegmoisanoat JSC.
The press service said that, along with local manufacturers of oil and fat products, a number of leading Russian companies also took part in the event.
“During the teleconference, its participants were thoroughly acquainted with the investment opportunities of Uzbekistan in the oil and fat industry, as well as benefits and preferences for foreign investors,” reads the message.
The parties also discussed the topic of creating incentives for modernization and improving the quality of local products, as well as the prospects for the development of industry cooperation with Russia.
Russian companies have shown great interest in the further development of long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation, read the message.
